Membership
Alpha Delta is a chapter that was chartered at UCLA in 1931. At one time Alpha Delta was proud to have 2000 members. Among our members were some very important names such as John Goodlad, May Seagoe,
Madlyn Hunter and many others. At that time, all of the members were connected with UCLA , either as a student or a professor. One had to be nominated by a professor to become a member. It was a high honor to be chosen.
As times changed and UCLA had to make budget cuts, Alpha Delta no longer was allowed to recruit from the student body, so we had to branch out.
Now Alpha Delta accepts members from any university if they have a 3.5 grade point average. We also accept into membership those who have accomplished much in the teaching profession.
